Launched in July 2026 as a partnership between National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) and Top Taiwan Venture Capital Co., Ltd. Top Taiwan Venture Capital serves as fund administrator and general partner, overseeing fundraising, investment operations, and strategic decisions. Fund managed by T. Andy Chiu (Chairman of Top Taiwan Venture Capital) with team of experienced investment professionals. NTHU provides academic resources, research infrastructure, and trademark licensing under leadership of NTHU President W. John Kao. First phase targets NT$1 billion (US$34M) with 15-year investment horizon, supported by National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and National Development Council (NDC). Backed by Taiwanese institutional investors and family offices. Investment focus prioritizes NTHU spin-offs founded by faculty, students, and alumni, plus startups engaged in NTHU University Science Park innovation ecosystem across semiconductors, AI, quantum technology, clean energy, and biotechnology.
