Founded in 2000 in New York by Josh Wolfe (Partner and Co-Founder, Cornell alumnus, published scientist, Trustee of the Santa Fe Institute, who has launched more than 20 Lux companies), Peter Hebert (Partner and Co-Founder, Syracuse Newhouse graduate, former Lehman Brothers equity research analyst, founder and first CEO of the Lux Research spin-off, co-founder of Thematic), and Robert Paull (Co-Founder and Venture Partner). Investing partners include Brandon Reeves, Deena Shakir, Shahin Farshchi (PhD), Grace Isford, Shaq Vayda, Sarah Hess, David Yang, Lan Jiang, Tess van Stekelenburg, and Mia Krishnamurthy. Manages about $7B and closed an oversubscribed $1.5B Fund IX in January 2026, its largest to date.
