Earlier in his career Ashour served as President of Kidde Fire Fighting, Inc., Marketing Director for Kidde Plc and Senior Vice President of Kidde-Fenwal, Inc. Ashour graduated from the University of Manchester where he received a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Ashour serves as an Adjunct Lecturere at the MBA program of Suffolk University in Boston.
