Manager's Experience

Manuel Silva Martínez (General Partner) founded Mouro Capital in 2020 after spinning out from Santander InnoVentures where he led investments from 2018; prior to Santander he was founding member of BBVA Ventures in San Francisco, one of the first VC arms in global banking, and spent 5 years at BBVA in Corporate Development and Innovation; he holds a B.A. in Business Administration from CUNEF Madrid, MPhil in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Sciences Po Paris, and conducted doctoral-level research on Chinese Economics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Chris Gottschalk (Senior Advisor) joined from Blumberg Capital in 2019 where he was a Principal, bringing US fintech investing expertise. The firm has delivered 25-35% IRR since 2014 inception with 1.75x cash-on-cash multiple portfolio-wide.
