LAUNCHub Ventures is a pre-seed and seed stage venture capital firm and first-check investor for founders in Central, Eastern and Southeast Europe. It writes first lead checks of €300K to €3M, leads or co-leads rounds of up to €7M and keeps reserves for Series A follow-ons, backing around 25 companies from Fund III. The firm differentiates itself through fourteen years in the region, a track record of 18 exits, and more than ten founders it previously backed now investing in Fund III as LPs.
Manager's Experience
Founded around 2012 in Sofia, Bulgaria, and one of the longest-standing early-stage investors in Central, Eastern and Southeast Europe. Led by General Partners Stanislav Sirakov and Rumen Iliev, who have run the firm since its founding era, with Raya Yunakova and Petar Tsachev promoted to General Partner alongside the Fund III first close; both have operated or founded technology companies. Manages more than €100M across its first two funds, including a €74M Fund II closed in December 2021, and has backed nearly 100 companies with 18 exits, while its portfolio has attracted over €700M in follow-on funding from investors such as Founders Fund, Sequoia, Index Ventures and Insight Partners. Fund III is backed by the European Investment Fund and the EBRD, and has already led rounds in Nanogram, Lenz and 1club.
