They invest $500K to $3M in high-potential technology startups operating across Francophone Africa with reserves for follow-on investments. The firm differentiates itself as one of the first independent VC funds in Francophone Africa, backed by leading DFIs including Proparco/FISEA with ESG and impact-driven mandates.
Manager's Experience
Founded by Meriem Zairi Tlemçani (Managing Partner and CEO), ESSEC Business School graduate with 20+ years of investment experience across Europe and Africa. Previously Investment Director at Montagu Private Equity managing a €4B+ European fund, then Investment Director at Infra Invest managing an €80M African Infrastructure Fund. Also managed SEAF Morocco Growth Fund before leading the 2022 management buyout to create EmergingTech Ventures. President of CGEM Commission for startup and entrepreneurship initiatives. Co-founders Abdelouahid Benlamlih and Sidi Mohammed Zakraoui bring complementary VC and financial expertise. The trio cut their teeth managing a $22M predecessor fund under the SEAF Morocco Capital Partners name before rebranding to sharpen focus on technology-driven businesses.
