Ryan Caldbeck (Founder & CEO) founded CircleUp in 2012 originally as a crowdfunding platform connecting consumer brands with accredited angel investors before evolving the firm into a data-driven consumer investment platform; he pioneered the use of machine learning (proprietary Helio platform) to identify high-potential consumer brands across more than 1.2 million companies. Rory Eakin (Co-Founder & COO) co-founded the firm bringing consumer investing and operations expertise. The firm closed Growth Partners I at $125M in 2017 and Growth Partners II subsequently, with backing from Temasek, Euclidean Capital, and Annie's Homegrown co-founder John Foraker.
