The AMR Action Fund is the world‚„s largest publicprivate partnership investing in the development of new antimicrobial therapeutics. It addresses the global health challenge posed by antimicrobialresistant bacteria, which kill nearly 1.3 million people annually. Originating from discussions among the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations, the World Health Organization, the European Investment Bank, and the Theyllcome Trust, the Fund aims to launch two to four new antimicrobials within the next decade. The Fund adheres to Access and Appropriate Use Principles, ensuring that developed antibiotics are used appropriately and accessible to those in need, particularly in low and middleincome countries.
